Reciprocating Engine Room

Turbine Engine Room Boiler Rooms 1 and 2

The two outer propellers were driven by reciprocating engines of the triple-expansion type. They each developed 15,000 indicated horsepower at 75 r.p.m. This room also contained much of the auxiliary machinery, including the refrigerating plant.
