Boiler Rooms 1 and 2

Reciprocating Engine Room. Boiler Rooms 3 and 4

Steam was supplied by 'Scotch'-type marine boilers with a working pressure of 215 pounds per square inch. Boiler room 1 contained five single-ended boilers, primarily intended to supply the auxiliary machinery while in port. Five double-ended boilers were in boiler room 2. The combustion gases from the boilers in these two rooms were exhausted through the ship's third funnel.
